so I asked Pump to keep me motivated…got a text message checking in on me as I was getting ready to head out.
then…I ran, slowly.
and walked.
and sweat, a lot.
also I wore shorts while running for the first time in 2+ years. it’s not the worst thing ever, but it’ll take some getting used to.

I saw something on the subway that made me so sad this morning. a few stops into my ride, a little girl got on the train with her mother (grandmother?) and asked for a snack. keep in mind, this was at about 9:15am….and the little girl was handed a bag of BBQ potato chips.
now, I know toddlers are notoriously picky eaters and sometimes you’re just glad they’re eating anything at all…but potato chips? for breakfast? it just upset me a bit.
I guess that’s just a reminder to me that healthy habits start young…and hey…I’m still pretty young. so I’m going to focus on some really healthy habits over the next few weeks.
I’ll set goals shortly, when I have a little more time to think about it.
because I can’t be bothered to write a whole post.
nearly done putting everything from the “miscellaneous” boxes away. this guy has been with me for five years, and will stick around at least another fifty more.
my bestie gave him to me for my 23rd birthday, the last time we spent a birthday together in SD.
miss you Matticus!
run done! loving my new shoes…feeling a bit tight in my hamstrings and lower back but no pain in my hip! yay!!
seriously loving this right now. Postal Service is making me so happy!! #barclays #nyc #concerts #postalservice #2003 (at Barclays Center)
got a ton of work done around the apartment tonight.
broke down boxes and took out a ton of trash…put away a bunch more stuff that I already decided on locations for…organized the bathroom/my ridiculous amount of makeup and toiletries (most of which I rarely use).
there is still SO much to be done with unpacking/organizing but I think there may be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. maybe.
at least now I can walk from one end of the apartment to the other without tripping over anything.
tomorrow night I am going to finish putting away everything in the living room…and I’ll unpack the last two miscellaneous* boxes.
this is freakin exhausting. will it ever be done??
*the boxes of stuff that never really had a proper home to begin with, and probably never will.
tonight I drank too much beer with my big brother*…chatted with my new neighbor (who I totally adore) for 45 minutes…and finally put together a storage chest/coffee table for the living room.
Wednesday, you’ve been good to me.
oh, and sorry Thursday, we’re going to have a late start.
*not actually my big brother, but might as well be.
did someone say…birthday??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANELLE!!!

hope you have an awesome day!!
